Dead Sea salt is salt from the Dead Sea, which is Located between Jordan and Israel, the Dead Sea is the source of our Dead Sea Salt.
The Dead Sea is actually a lake, and is known for being the lowest point on earth. It has been recognized for centuries as a center for wellness and health, thanks to the low air pollution and temperate climate. The shores are lined with hotels, resorts, and health spas. People travel to the Dead Sea to enjoy the many cosmetic and medicinal benefits of Dead Sea salt water, and those who can’t make the trip can enjoy the same benefits at home, using mud masks or bath salts.  The water is filled with salt. So much, in fact, that swimmers simply float on the top of the water, so buoyant they resist sinking. The water that comprises the Dead Sea is like no other water on earth – it holds 33% salt, – 10 times the amount of salt found in other sea water, which holds around 3% salt.
The salt itself is unique as well. When you look at it, it’s often dull and off-white in color, in contrast to the brightness of ordinary salt. Dead Sea salt tastes bitter when compared to the salt you buy at the store – this is due to the fact that Dead Sea salt has almost no sodium (10%) when compared to table salt (90%). The salts found in the Dead Sea are mineral salts. All ocean salt contains minerals, but the salts of the Dead Sea contain a much higher concentration of minerals than other salts. These minerals include zinc, iodine, potassium, calcium, bromides, and many more. These minerals are naturally occurring in the human body and are crucial to many processes, and need to be replenished regularly as they are lost.

Soaking in Dead Sea salt does wonders for your body. Skin problems, such as rashes, sores, hives, and itching, can be treated by soaking in a hot bath filled with these amazing salts. Dead sea salts contain large amounts of magnesium and bromide, which cleanse and disinfect your skin, making you less susceptible to skin-related allergies.
