Care of Handcrafted Soap

When taken care of, Nebraska Sunset Soap will last as long or longer than a commercial bar of soap, but it is important to keep it dry between uses.

After using a bar of Nebraska Sunset Soap, place it on a soap dish that will allow adequate water drainage.

If left in standing water, the soap will become very soft and will not last as long. 

On humid days you may notice your bar of soap becomes a bit moist. That is because homemade soap has all of the luxurious natural glycerin, which is known to draw and attract moisture.

If you accidentally leave your soap in the tub or standing water and it becomes soft, shape the soap into a ball and place on a shelf to dry. The extra water that was absorbed will evaporate and the soap will harden again.

As with any product that touches your skin, if irritation develops, discontinue use.
